Valley Creek Music

Welcome! My name is Kara Saldaña and I am the music teacher at Valley Creek Elementary.

 

I teach Kindergarten through Fifth Grade at Valley Creek, and each child comes to music at least once a week for 50 minutes. The program is Kodály based with our main emphasis on singing. We sing, play games, and use lots of solfege! We start with Kindergarten learning the steady beat, and by 5th Grade, students can read and write absolute letter names, understand complex rhythms, play on all the classroom instruments, and much more!
