What will your child learn in music class this year?

 

We’ve come a long way since Kindergarten!  Music reading includes syncopation, dynamic symbols, and absolute letter names.  We are continuing to use the recorder in the spring, but as always, the main focus is singing.  Folk dancing moves that we learn require team coordination and cooperation.  Your child also has the opportunity to be part of the Valley Creek 5th Grade choir! As they move to 6th grade, they might not all sign up for band, choir or orchestra, but hopefully they can sing a song, keep a steady beat, and appreciate the arts!
