What will your child learn in music class this year?
It’s all about opposites! We learn all of the music opposites: fast/slow, loud/soft, higher/lower, speaking voice/singing voice. Our number one priority is keeping a steady beat and finding our singing voices! Throughout the year, we will move to and explore music of many different cultures and genres. We will also learn plenty of singing games! Some of my favorite songs in Kindergarten are “Apple Tree”, “Charlie Over the Ocean”, “I Love My Little Rooster”, and “Naughty Kitty Cat.”
This year, your child will also be introduced to a few instruments! As part of our instrument exploration, we will use percussion instruments like the tambourine, hand drums, triangles, and woodblocks.
